Standard colours of Soviet planes from mid-1943 till end of war
According to the instruction issued in July 1943, a new painting schemes were introduced onto Soviet warplanes: the upper and side surfaces of all fighter aircraft were to be painted in Dark Grey / Blue Grey pattern, while all other types of aircraft wore Camouflage Green / Light Greyish Brown / Dark Grey scheme (the latter replaced with Black on Il-4s and Pe-8s). Lower surfaces of all late war period aircraft were to be painted with a Greyish Blue colour, with the exception of night bombers, which used Black paint instead.
