These coaches are now towards the end of their working lives in capital stock ( passenger train use) but many were used by the various BR departments for departmental use, so would be ideal as messing/ridding for re-railing trains with Steam Cranes, or other P/W use, many were used as Staff accommodation on MPD’s well into Era 5.
These are a new range of Hornby “generic 4 and 6 wheel coaches” added new to the Hornby 2021 range.
As these coaches are considerably smaller, than the larger bogie types, they are ideal for minimum space layouts , such as Branch lines or light railways.
You can make up a prototypical train, as 1st Class, 3rd Class and suitable Brake coaches are available.
